San Antonio Riverwalk

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

I mentioned in the previous post about Mckay's birthday, that both of Craig and I's parents flew in. We only had a few days together, but I had to make time to squeeze in a tour of the Alamo and River walk. We took my parents first since they came in a day early.

First we stopped by the Alamo.

Then Craig met us after work and we went and walked the Riverwalk for a bit. It was the perfect time of day about 1 hr before sunset.

Except it was still HOT and we were melting in the 100 degree heat and humidity. That is us melting :)

Love this picture of the kiddos and daddy.

This place is so romantic and beautiful at night, the mood is so dreamy :) We found a really cool Mexican restaurant to stuff our faces at. YUM!

The next morning, we headed back and took the 1/2 hour boat tour. Really cool to learn about the Riverwalk and how it works and the history behind it. Had no idea it was so old and was built during the Great Depression to give people jobs.

 Me and my hunny :)
On Labor Day I took the Howe's to the Riverwalk and Alamo. I really don't get sick of it, it is beautiful!   I didn't bring my camera that day because I didnt feel like lugging it around.  Just took a couple with my iPhone. But, we did the boat tour again and ate lunch at "The Rain forest Cafe" on the Riverwalk.

So glad that they were both able to come and visit! It went by way too fast...Love you guys :)
