Our Little Bit of Sunshine: HELLO 2013

2012 was a year of big change for our family, so for 2013 I am hoping for a little more stability. haha. I am excited for this New Year and all the possibilities. Craig just got a job with a new company and he will have a normal work week finally! 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday with the weekends off. It has been almost 3 years since that has happened. I am looking forward to LOTS more time as a family. I am so excited! For our New Year celebration yesterday, we hung out just as a little family. We watched Star Wars, ate pizza, had treats and just hung out. And then at 10pm we welcomed in 2013 together, had a toast and talked about each of our goals for the New Year.

Craig's was to eat more healthy
Mine was to to have a better attitute
Mckay's was to try harder in school
Kylin's was to help around the house more
Piper's was to be a big girl

Every year I pick "One Word" and focus on that for the upcoming year. I thought long and hard about what I wanted my word to be and came up with...

I think it is perfect and summarizes what I am striving to accomplish this year. I want to:

Take the time to spend with my kids now because that time will be gone in a flash.

Take the time to tell people how much I love them, because you never know when their time is gone, and you are left wishing you had shown and told them more.

Manage my time better to get more out of my life and be able to give it to others.

Don't waste time doing things that aren't important and have no meaning.

Take time to read the scriptures and build my relationship with Heavenly Father.

Take time to exercise and become healthy.

Don't rush through life...take TIME to stop and enjoy the little things and the people that matter most.

LOTS of glitter and Black & Gold :)

I wanted to fancy up these dollar store cups, so Kylin and I painted gold dots on them. I spray painted the paper doilies gold. I made huge "2013" numbers and glittered those up too!
